OVERALL PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE

This position applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach for modifications of existing applications, simple changes, reports and request for software services with minimal supervision from more senior software developers.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the design of software with clearly defined functional requirements with the help of more senior software developers.
Participates in the design of test cases for software module changes.
Participates in group design discussions and expected to understand basic software design but should not be expected to provide concrete input to these decisions.
Limited to change or creation of isolated modules that are completely designed with some supervision from more senior software developers.
Requires only minor supervision from more senior software developers to troubleshoot and make repairs on isolated modules. All changes must be reviewed by senior software developer prior to submission.
Basic Proficiency in Software Development, Software Design, Software Testing, Software Maintenance, Software Configuration Mgt., Software Engineering Tools and Software Quality

REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate degree or college diploma in Computer Science/IT or sufficient related education
2 + years of software development work experience
Should have experience or demonstrable knowledge in the following areas:
- C++
- XML
- Windows
- Linux
- Visual Studio
- Knowledge and use of graphics, animation and sound libraries an asset
- Game development experience an asset
